WORKSHOPS
All workshops are run in my own home studio which is fully insured and I have public liability cover for tuition. It is a typical home studio ideal for one-to-one tuition. You will be using white stoneware clay plus glazing and firing costs are included. However, only pots which are suitable will be glazed and fired. Together we can select suitable pots.
Un-tutored studio time is available should you wish and times/days can be negotiated
Hourly Rate: £50.00
For people who have some experience of throwing and require a1-2-1 session to overcome any difficulties they may be experiencing.
Ideal if you have your own wheel and have completed an introductry course.
Three Hour Workshop
£125.00
Ideal as an introduction to throwing on the potters wheel. No experience required and all clay, tools and aprons provided. If at the end of the 3 hrs you have work suitable for firing, I will glaze and fire it and you can collect from me at a suitable time
6 x 3hr Workshops
£700.00
Ideal for someone who has tried throwing before and wants to learn more. Days/times can be to suit you in most cases. You will learn kneading, centering, throwing, turning & glazing
Kiln Hire
I have a Skutt KMT827 electric kiln and you are welcome to hire firing space. Cost will be dependent upon size of piece and type of firing. The prices are indicitive.
Firing Capacity: 107 litres/ 3.8 cubic ft. Opening 44.45cm/17.5 inches. Depth: 68.58cm/27 inches
Bisque £25.00
Work needs to be delivered here completely dry and ready for bisque firing.
Work to be collected at the agreed time post firing.
Glost - £25.00 -£35.00
Work needs to be delivered ready for firing.
All bases clear of glaze
You will need to provide your own stilts or bead frames etc
Part-Kiln Hire
If you only have a small amount of work for a bisque firing and you are prepared to wait until I am firing my own work, the quoted prices can be reduced.
